CFMOTO 250NK: 7000km Test - From puff to whistle to hammering...

The CFMOTO 250NK has decent power from 0 to 120 mph, but beyond that, it feels noticeably underpowered and takes a while to pull, but it's still quite nice. The top speed shows around 155 mph, and the GPS is around 145 mph. After all, the displacement is there (I was worried I wouldn't be able to ride it when I bought it, as A-ran can attest), so I can't expect too much. It idles smoothly in first gear, and I can engage and disengage the clutch (though my skills aren't always perfect).
The throttle is quite jerky in second gear, which is quite different from the Suzuki series. I commute year-round, and the road congestion during commutes makes it very uncomfortable, forcing me to constantly engage the clutch. After 7,000 kilometers, the front shock absorbers have become a bit soft, but since they can't be serviced in Chifeng, there's nothing I can do about it. The rear shocks had a bit of a creaking noise for a while, but it eventually resolved itself. As for the brakes, those with higher-end configurations report good performance. Mine has the standard configuration, and they're pretty decent and adequate.
I won't go into detail about the engine; the 2019 model is excellent. There's no oil leaking, as I've heard online. The exhaust does change, from a puffing sound at first to a whistling noise, then a slight hammering noise, and now a tractor-like sound. It's a testament to your riding experience. The tires are pretty good, and I feel confident when the road is clear. Because they're so soft, they easily bite into rocks. There are some small dents on both the front and rear wheels now, likely due to the tires being too soft and rubbing against rough surfaces. Another reason is that the northern weather isn't very kind to rubber. The sidestand switches need to be checked regularly. The fuel gauge is seriously inaccurate; there's still plenty of fuel when it's at one bar, but to avoid pushing it, I still have to fill up diligently and don't dare ride it in the empty space.
The mercury silver paint on the plastics is fine, but the black one is really not so good and scratches easily. The license plate holder vibrates so much that many of the plates have broken. A short tail would be better. Don't try to pick up people in the back seat of this recreational vehicle; it's incredibly uncomfortable. I definitely won't do it again.
One thing I have to say is that winters in northern China are quite cold. My car won't start if the temperature exceeds -10 degrees Celsius. It's because of the engine oil. I need to change to 5w/40 oil. After that, it starts almost instantly. This is a good tip, so take note! Also, the key door will wobble over time, and then make a buzzing sound when I step on the accelerator. Stuffing something in the gap will solve this problem.
